We welcome your child to our Before/After School Care Program and give you the following information about it. The program is licensed by the State of Maryland –Department of Education Division of Early Childhood Office of Childcare. Curriculum Overview
At EdVentures, our program is designed to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of every scholar. Below is a summary of the key elements of our curriculum:
📚 Blended Learning
We implement a blended learning model that combines digital tools with traditional classroom instruction to provide a personalized and engaging educational experience.
⏰ Academic Hours
Our dedicated academic block runs from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM, focusing on core subjects, homework support, and skill-building activities to reinforce classroom learning.
🎨 Enrichment Programs
We believe in nurturing the whole child through enriching experiences outside of academics. Our enrichment offerings include:

Art Club – Creative expression through drawing, painting, and crafts.

Sports Strengthening & Conditioning – Physical fitness and team-building activities

Organized Play – Structured group games that promote cooperation and fun.

Only for Divas – A mentoring program designed to empower our young ladies.

Boys 2 Men – A mentoring program focused on leadership and character development for young men.
💬 Social Emotional Learning (SEL)
SEL is a core part of our programming. We provide structured opportunities for scholars to build self-awareness, manage emotions, develop empathy, and strengthen relationship skills.
EDVENTURES NUTRITION POLICY
Building for the Future
This childcare has partnered with Capital Area Food Bank to serve healthy meals to your children. Good nutrition today means a stronger tomorrow! Meals served here must meet nutrition requirements established by USDA’s Child and Adult Care Food Program.
Menus are provided by Capital Area Food Bank and posted via newsletter and/or on the EdVentures Bulletin board located in MPR A. All menus meet federal and state requirements and are based on the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Dietary Guidelines for Americans and ChooseMyPlate.Gov. Meals are free for students.
