Mariah Turner

Legends Fellow Impact Coordinator

Mariah Turner is the Impact Coordinator for the Equity Now Legends Fellowship Program at Legends Charter School, a role that blends strategic leadership, mentorship, and program development. In partnership with AmeriCorps and Legends Charter School, Mariah serves as the on-site program manager guiding fellows through their service year, supporting their growth, and ensuring alignment with school-wide goals.

Her work includes coaching fellows, facilitating professional development, and collaborating with school leaders to create high-impact service experiences that support student achievement and school culture. Mariah’s leadership is rooted in a deep understanding of youth development, equity, and the power of service.

Before stepping into this leadership role, Mariah served as a Legends Fellow herself for two years, gaining firsthand experience in classroom support, relationship-building, and instructional collaboration. Her return to the program as a coordinator reflects her commitment to nurturing the next generation of changemakers.

Outside of her professional work, Mariah is a culinary creative who finds joy in crafting wellness-inspired drinks and meals that bring people together. Her passion for flavor and nourishment mirrors the intentionality she brings to her work; thoughtful, bold, and rooted in care.

Mariah is proudly from Prince George’s County, Maryland, and continues to be a vibrant force in her community. Her journey is a testament to the impact of service, the strength of local leadership, and the brilliance of young people when given the space to thrive.
