Atasha M. James

Chief Executive Officer

Mrs. Atasha M. James Co-Founded Equity Now, Inc. in 2017, a nonprofit accelerating change in education, finances, and agriculture. She quickly discovered that the nexus to accelerate transformation in all areas of our community is through educating our young people.

Portia Cameron

Chief of Staff

Portia Cameron is the Chief of Staff at Legends Charter School, where she leads strategic operations and cross-departmental coordination to ensure the CEO's vision is executed with precision and impact. She brings over a decade of experience in student affairs, operations, and equity-focused education leadership.

Ashari James

Legends Fellow Program Manager · Executive Administrator

Ashari James is known for her sharp intellect, global perspective, and deep commitment to educational equity. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Political Science at Howard University.

Pamela Boyd

Director of Development and Community Engagement

Pamela Boyd is the Director of Development and Community Engagement at Legends Charter School, where she leads fundraising, marketing, events, and family and community engagement in support of the school's mission. She oversees the school's annual development strategy, including recurring giving, corporate partnerships, and signature fundraising events.

Aminah Williams

Special Programs Officer

Aminah Williams is a dynamic and results-driven leader with over a decade of experience spanning strategic leadership, compliance, human resources, IT management, and organizational development across public, private, and nonprofit sectors.

Joshua Pauley

Director of Curriculum & Assessment

Joshua Pauley serves as Director of Curriculum & Assessment in the Office of the CEO at Legends Charter School. In this role, he helps design, bolster, and maintain the school's curriculum and assessment systems while also supporting its accreditation and compliance work.

Adia Jordan

Director of Human Resources

Adia C. Jordan is a results-driven and people-centered executive leader with two decades of experience advancing organizational effectiveness, talent strategy, culture, and operational excellence across nonprofit, government, corporate, and education sectors. As Director of Human Resources, she is a systems thinker and advisor who believes strong organizations are built by investing in people, establishing equitable and effective systems, and creating cultures where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to do their best work. In her current role, she leads efforts to strengthen HR operations, streamline processes, support school leadership, and develop people-centered practices that align employee experience with the school's mission and commitment to student success.

Anita Williams

Assistant Director, Legends EdVentures

Anita Williams is a dedicated educational leader and administrative professional whose career spans healthcare, school operations, and youth development. Raised in Buffalo, New York, Anita's early commitment to service shaped her belief in the power of care, consistency, and community.
