Why Legends Charter School?
Legends Charter School is committed to retaining top talent and rewarding them for extraordinary outcomes. Keeping our best teachers a top priority.
Legends Charter School understands that great teachers are essential to student success. Therefore, we plan to award teachers and celebrate their performance with an annual recognition ceremony.
We feel it is essential to demonstrate – in the boldest way possible – how much we value the work educators do. At Legends, we believe that great educators deserve to be compensated like the professionals they are.
Maryland State Department of Education Educator Certification
Legends Charter School teachers and administrators must hold or be eligible for a Professional Certificate appropriate to area of assignment issued by the Maryland State Department of Education.
In order to meet the Maryland State Department of Education’s (MSDE) certification requirements, students must submit qualifying scores for the Pre-Professional Skills Tests (Praxis Core). Students must obtain minimum passing scores for the Praxis Core tests prior to applying to the professional teacher education programs. PGCC offers both traditional and online Praxis Core Preparation courses. These courses are designed to review the three content areas, and teach students test taking strategies.
